The herbalists, medicine makers, educators, small businesses, and community members listed below were important contributors to the Appalachian Herb Collective and our mutual-aid response following Hurricane Helene.

They shared medicine, time, knowledge, resources, and care—helping make free herbal clinics, community medicine shares, and other mutual-aid efforts possible during an extraordinary time of need.

While these original mutual-aid efforts have since evolved, many of the people and businesses who made them possible continue to serve their communities through herbal medicine, education, accessible care, mutual aid, and other forms of community support.

One of the most meaningful ways to support community herbalism is to support the people who practice it every day.

We invite you to explore the herbalists and businesses below, learn about the work they are doing now, and support their medicines, offerings, classes, businesses, and community projects whenever you are able.

We remain deeply grateful for the many ways they showed up for our communities—and for the ways they continue to keep herbalism rooted in service, connection, and care.
